View this email in your browser Greetings Whisper family. The Whisper team hopes you are doing fine. Below is the summarised May report for the hospital. WHISPER'S HOSPITAL REPORT FOR MAY. We treated 1140 patients in the month of May. So many lives were saved and we are happy for every healed and healthy life. This month we have spent(£6,365) on drugs, laboratory supplies and consumables which is more compared to the (£5,173) spent in April. We admitted 23 malnourished patients in May which is more compared to the 6 patients admitted in April. Most of these kids come in a very bad state and their parents having no money at all but thanks to our beloved donors and the medical team for saving all these lives. Help us save more lives of the suffering malnourished children in Uganda. https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/help-a-malnourished-child-with-whispers-hospital/ We transfused blood to 260 patients in the month of May which is more compared to the 94 patients transfused in April. Most of these patients come suffering from severe malaria and others are sickle cell patients. We introduced a new department at the hospital that is the Maternity department and it is officially going to be opened next week. We are getting several messages from expecting mothers who are waiting earnestly for the maternity ward to be officially opened. everything is moving smoothly just as we expected. WHISPER'S HOSPITAL REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL This has been a very busy month. We have treated 1452 patients just in this month of April. It feels so wonderful having managed to save so many lives of Ugandan children at our hospital. This month we have spent 25,959,900 Uganda shillings (£5,173) on drugs, laboratory supplies and consumables. We have managed to transfuse blood to 94 patients in the month of April. Every month we receive quite a big number of Anaemic patients and this could be caused by sickle cell disease and malaria. We have received 7 burns patients which is more compared to the 4 patients received last month. We receive these patients when they are in a very bad state and we work as a team to ensure that they get healed. We have had 6 malnourished patients in the month of April all these malnourished little children come from villages especially in the Eastern region of Uganda where parents cannot even afford a balanced diet and even luck what to eat. Most of the beds have been removed so as to arrange the new hospital which is going to officially be opened on 14th of May 2018. So many patients are coming in as shown in our hospital report and we could not close the hospital so that we first finish with the shifting. This is because we are about saving lives of many Ugandan children. Therefore some of the patients are temporarily receiving the treatment on the mattresses that are laid down. We apologise for the inconveniences caused during this process Some of the mattresses being improvised in the general ward so that patients receive their treatment as the shifting of properties takes place.
