WHISPER'S HOSPITAL REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 2019 We registered 943 patients in the month of February this being less compared to the 1047 patients received in January. This can be explained in a way that February has two days less than any other month of the year which would have made the total number of patients equal or more than that of January. We thank all our donors for the many lives saved. We receive so many children from different parts of Uganda. 13 malnourished children were received in February. 10 patients were worked on while the 3 patients were referred to Nalufenya regional referral hospital for Tuberculosis treatment. There were no deaths reported, all the malnourished children healed steadily. On assessment, the major issues for the malnutrition were child negligence, abandonment and poor feeding. 211 patients were transfused in February. The Whisper team always makes sure that the hospital is equipped with enough blood for all our patients. We receive so many parents who come to us for blood after travelling long distances looking for blood to save their children.
