WHISPER'S HOSPITAL REPORT FOR JANUARY 2019. In January, we were able to register 1047 patients. This also involves patients from our newly introduced adult consultation and maternity. Saving the many lives of Ugandan children and adults through providing high quality health services is our number one goal. This was a busy month, we received a total of 953 patients in the children’s wing, many lives were saved in different regions all thanks to our beloved donors. 13 malnourished patients were registered. 10 patients were managed and recovered well for discharge. The other three patients were referred due to PTB (Pulmonary Tuberculosis). Unlike the past cases, last month’s malnutrition cases were due to poor feeding practices for infants and parent negligence, leaving young children with relatives who cannot support themselves financially. These innocent souls survive on only one meal a day hence leading to malnutrition. 219 patients were transfused in January which is more compared to the month of December. There was shortage of blood during the late period of January, but we managed to obtain enough to save the lives of many patients. We thank everyone for their contribution towards our charity organisation. |
