GREETINGS WHISPER FAMILY.
We are so grateful for the support you are providing for the smooth running of our Hospital services. We are able to save so many lives especially in the Eastern region of Uganda because of your generous support. May God bless you.
WHISPER'S HOSPITAL REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 2019
We registered 943 patients in the month of February this being less compared to the 1047 patients received in January. This can be explained in a way that February has two days less than any other month of the year which would have made the total number of patients equal or more than that of January. We thank all our donors for the many lives saved. We receive so many children from different parts of Uganda.
13 malnourished children were received in February. 10 patients were worked on while the 3 patients were referred to Nalufenya regional referral hospital for Tuberculosis treatment. There were no deaths reported, all the malnourished children healed steadily. On assessment, the major issues for the malnutrition were child negligence, abandonment and poor feeding.
211 patients were transfused in February. The Whisper team always makes sure that the hospital is equipped with enough blood for all our patients. We receive so many parents who come to us for blood after travelling long distances looking for blood to save their children.

WHISPER'S HEART SURGERIES
Whisper is organizing two children to go to America for heart surgeries. Logose who is 6 years old and Hafswa who is 4 years old from Buikwe district both came to Whisper Hospital through one of our Whisper friends requesting us to help these innocent souls. They were both referred from Nalufenya regional referral hospital and didn't have any hope of survival. Logose was managed for large inlet ventricular septal defect with Perimembranous. for more information please follow this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ventricular_septal_defect and Hafswa being managed for Tetralogy of Fallot.
Whisper together with Healing The Children charity organisation and Norton Hospital in the USA have organised a trip for the two children with cardiac issues to go for life saving heart surgeries. THE MALNOURISHED CHILDREN
Moses is one of the Epileptic malnourished children we have in the nutritional ward. He was abandoned by both parents to the step grandfather. He was found wasted at the step grandfather's house and was brought to Whisper with seizures by a group of good samaritans. He could not sleep, was very wasted and had over three seizure in a week. The child is now on anticonvulsants and nutritional feeds for weight gain.
He can now sleep, walk and play with the recovering children and has not yet experienced any seizures ever since he was put on anticonvulsants. To save more of the malnourished children please follow this link. https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/help-a-malnourished-child-with-whispers-hospital/

DIABETES PATIENT
Rose was brought to Whisper's Hospital after being diagnosed with diabetes at 13 year. Whisper has been taking care of her from the time she was admitted at the hospital. There was no help given to her in the previous clinic so the good samaritans brought her to Whisper where she could get the help she needs. She only lives with her blind grandmother so she has no caretaker. Its the Whisper nurses taking care of her and giving her the required treatment. She still needs more help through empowerment and sponsorship. https://www.globalgiving.org/donate/28855/whisper/
