Whisper's Hospital report for March

GREETINGS WHISPER FAMILY.
Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital and Maternity
would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donations towards helping the vulnerable sick children and pregnant mothers in Uganda. We are saving so many lives in Uganda.
Whisper’s Magical Children’s Hospital and maternity registered 1116 patients in the month of March. We received so many patients both adults and pediatrics. The number of patients was more this time round compared to the 943 patients received in February. We managed to save so many lives and all this was made possible because of our generous donors.
7 malnutrition cases were managed last month. 3 cases were failure to thrive in babies of 1 month and above. (not more than 4 months). This was due to being born as premature. The other 3 cases were due to negligence and leaving children with their grandparents without support from the biological parents. For the 7th malnourished child, the mother decided to take the child saying he wasn't malnourished that it was witchcraft affecting him so she ordered the doctors to let them go.
In March we managed to transfuse 164 patients. Some of these patients travel long distances to come to our hospital to be transfused. Most of them come at the point of death, severely anemic. Our Hospital is always equipped with enough blood for all our patients both children and adults.
Our Magical maternity registered 86 patients in the month of March. Of all the 86 patients received, 7 new antenatal visits were registered, 9 SVD, 2 emergency deliveries, 2 elective deliveries, 18 admissions, 11 consultations, 2 other procedures including perennial repairs and manual vacuum aspiration and 58 scans.
LITTLE FREDRICK
This is little Fredrick who was rescued from Kawanda by our outreach team. He was severely malnourished and anemic. He was put on nutritional rehabilitation and today Fredrick is beyond recognition he looks so healthy. He was brought by his mother all the way from Kawanda to thank Whisper’s Magical Hospital for rescuing and treating her child. We thank all our donors for supporting our malnutrition project, so many young lives have been saved. https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/help-a-malnourished-child-with-whispers-hospital/

MOTHER WITH CANCER
This mother was directed to Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital and Maternity by one of the Whisper friends called Amanda. The mother was 32 weeks pregnant with stage 4 breast cancer. No body expected this mother to make it because she had no support. Whisper helped her to give birth safely at no cost. The baby is healthy and the mother is so grateful so what the Whisper team did for her. All this is made possible because of the donations receive from our donors to run the Hospital since we are a charity organisation. https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/stop-ugandan-women-and-children-dying-at-childbirth/
DONATE TO SAVE A LIFE
THE EMPOWERMENT PROJECT.
The social works team together with our Hospital nutritionist assessing and evaluating the home of one of our patients Rose who is malnourished due to diabetes. The Whisper team has come up with the Empowerment Project which will help to solve the issue of food insecurity which is one of the leading causes of malnutrition in our patients.
We treat a lot of malnourished children who still come back after a month of discharge with the same case of malnutrition. Empowering these families will solve this kind of issue among so many other issues in a home. KALULU JUNIOR
This is Kalulu Junior, he was abandoned by his mother on arrival to our Hospital. The mother had separated with the husband and the child had no one to take care of him at the hospital. Whisper took care of the child, treated him for free, fed him and gave him clothes. Our social works team started to trace for the child's father using the information from the village's local council. Within 1 week, we were able to locate Kalulu's father. He had no idea that his child was abandoned by the wife. We had to go to the police to inform them that the boy's father was found. Kalulu is now living happily with his father and we are so grateful for the great work done by our social workers and all our donors for the costs covered inform of facilitation.

WHISPER'S MATERNITY DEPARTMENT

This is Shadia one of the mothers who gave birth in March. She came to Whisper's Magical hospital with the aim of aborting her baby at 7 months. She was abandoned by her boyfriend and she could hardly support her self and so she decided to abort her child. Fortunately the Maternity team together with madam Veronika the C.E.O of Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital and Maternity advised her to keep the pregnancy.
After 2 months she came back to Whisper's Magical Maternity and delivered safely at no cost. Both the mother and her baby are doing fine. We appreciate all our donors for the many lives of innocent babies and mothers saved. SPECIAL THANKS
Whisper thanks all its donors for the generous support towards saving the lives of so many Ugandan children and mothers. The existence of Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital has created a very big impact towards different communities in Jinja and Uganda in general. We are so grateful for choosing to support us out of the many charitable organisations around the world. May God bless you for your generous contributions.
One of the recovering children in Emergency ward managed for severe anemia and severe malaria. She came with Hemoglobin levels of 3.2. It is your donation which helps us to buy medicine for such children hence saving their lives.
